Arsenal vs Bournemouth Preview

Arsenal have claimed victory in 13 of their home league matches this season. Bournemouth have found the net in 16 of their 17 away league games. The Gunners have triumphed in their last three fixtures with a combined score of 10-2. Kai Havertz has netted three times in his recent two appearances for Arsenal. Arsenal are set on maintaining pressure on Manchester City.

Having boosted their Premier League title aspirations with a win in the North London derby last Sunday, Arsenal could keep their psychological advantage over Manchester City with a victory against Bournemouth this Saturday.

After their resounding 5-0 win over Chelsea the previous Tuesday, Arsenal quickly went 3-0 up within 38 minutes against Tottenham. Despite second-half goals from Cristian Romero and Heung-min Son ramping up the pressure, Mikel Arteta’s side secured the win, keeping them a point ahead of Manchester City, albeit having played one more game.

This Saturday offers Arsenal the opportunity to extend their lead to four points before City’s evening match against Wolves.

Bournemouth Poised to Add Excitement

Although the title remains in City’s control, Arsenal’s task is to continue winning. They face the Cherries at the Emirates Stadium, where they’ve won 13 out of 17 league games this season.

Under Andoni Iraola’s guidance, Bournemouth are proving to be formidable opponents, especially in attack, with 52 goals from 35 matches.

Arsenal boast the best defensive record in the Premier League this season, but only six of their 16 league clean sheets have been secured at home. Their more expansive home style could play into Bournemouth’s hands.

The Cherries have failed to score in only one of their away league games this season and could pose a challenge to Arsenal, making “Arsenal to win and both teams to score” a tempting bet.

Arsenal averages 2.43 goals per game in the top flight, which increases to 2.53 at home. With a fully fit squad, they are likely to continue their high scoring, especially after netting ten goals in their last three games alone. A 3-1 victory for Arsenal could be a savvy bet in the correct score market.

Havertz’s anytime odds – 6/4

Kai Havertz, after a slow start at Arsenal, is hitting his stride, following up his double against Chelsea with a crucial goal against Tottenham. With 12 Premier League goals this season, trailing only Bukayo Saka’s 15, Havertz is a solid bet to score against Bournemouth this weekend.
