Atalanta v Roma Serie A Betting

On Monday night, Roma will face Atalanta in a highly anticipated Serie A fixture as the race for European spots heats up. Atalanta, who have dropped out of the European places after the overturn of Juventus’ points deduction, are currently seventh on the table, seven points behind the top four. With just eight matches remaining, they face a difficult battle to regain their position.

However, Atalanta’s recent form has been poor, with just three wins in their last ten Serie A matches, including five defeats. Although they managed to secure a 1-1 draw against Fiorentina in their previous fixture, they have struggled to find their form at Gewiss Stadium, with just one win in their last four home matches.

In contrast, Roma appears to be in top form, having won their last three Serie A matches and securing a spot in the Europa League semi-finals after a 4-2 aggregate victory over Feyenoord. In their most recent Serie A match, they claimed a convincing 3-0 victory over Udinese, with Lorenzo Pellegrini and Tammy Abraham both scoring.

However, Roma has struggled on the road, winning just once in their last five away matches, although they did manage to secure a 1-0 victory over Torino in their most recent away fixture. Additionally, they have struggled defensively in their last eight Serie A away matches, keeping just two clean sheets. Despite this, they appear to be playing at a higher level than Atalanta and are likely to pose a significant challenge for their opponents.

According to the bookies, Atalanta is favored to win the upcoming match, with a home victory priced at 13/10 by 888sport. On the other hand, a win for Roma is valued at 9/4 by bet365, while a draw is set at odds of 12/5 by the same bookmaker.
