2026/27 Champions League Odds: What the Draw Actually Changed

The league-phase draw is done, and the market has already moved. Here’s our read on the odds for PSG’s three-peat bid, why Real Madrid shortened and Manchester City drifted, and where we think the value sits.

PSG’s Bid For a Three-Peat

Luis Enrique’s side had to work for their last title. They went behind to a Kai Havertz goal inside six minutes of the final at the Puskas Arena, hauled themselves level through an Ousmane Dembele penalty, and eventually won it on spot-kicks. That kind of final tends to flatter a squad’s resilience more than any group-stage form line does, and it’s a big part of why PSG head into this campaign as clear 5/1 favourites to become the first side to win three straight European Cups since the mid-1970s. Nobody else in the market is priced like they’re expected to stop them — the next name on the list is more than a point of odds behind.

Real Madrid In, Manchester City Out

bet365’s Steve Freeth was blunt about the draw’s effect on the market: “Real Madrid are the winners and Manchester City the losers from the draw, with Mourinho’s side into 13/2 and Enzo Maresca’s new charges on the drift from 8/1 out to 9/1.” Both clubs are also mid-reset under new management — Jose Mourinho back at the Santiago Bernabeu, Maresca into his first full season since Pep Guardiola’s departure — so some of that movement is as much about draw-group perception as it is about squad quality. Worth watching how those prices settle once the actual fixtures start rather than taking the draw reaction at face value.

The Chasing Pack, All Bunched at 6/1

Three sides share the next line in the betting. Arsenal are back at 6/1 having lost May’s final on penalties — the shortest-priced of the beaten finalists usually returns as one of the market’s more fancied names, and that’s the case here. Bayern Munich are the same price under Vincent Kompany after their run to the semi-finals, and Barcelona complete the trio at 6/1 as Hansi Flick tries to carry back-to-back La Liga form onto the European stage. Little separates the three on paper, and little separates them in the market either.

The Rest of the Field

Liverpool sit at 12/1 as they chase a seventh European Cup, a shorter price than Manchester United’s 20/1 return to the competition under Michael Carrick. Further down, Inter Milan are 28/1 and Atletico Madrid 33/1 — both plausible outsiders rather than genuine each-way shouts at this stage, before a ball’s been kicked in the league phase.
